A system that most people don't even realize that they have, is the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system is within the vascular system and part of our immune system of our bodies. It is a network of vessels that transport lymph, a clear, colorless fluid that contains white blood cells into the bloodstream. I work this system extensively in different zones and regions on the foot. The reason that I give this system extra needed attention is that it does not have a pump to move the fluid, it depends on the movement of your muscles and joints to keep it flowing. If the system is working properly it carries away waste, fights infections, and absorbs fat. If the fluid starts to back up it becomes thicker and the waste is not able to be properly drained and filtered. Which could lead to a blockage, swelling and certain diseases.
