The EWG (Environmental Working Group) has released its 2020 list of the foods with the highest levels of pesticides to the ones that tested with the least amount of pesticide residues.
Unfortunately, strawberries, spinach and kale have made it to the top of the list again. These lists number the produce that tested with the highest pesticide levels to the least.
These lists allow you to make an informed decision on what type of produce you want to buy. Anything carrying the USDA organic seal can't be genetically engineered and also must be grown in soil that is free from prohibited substances like synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. Organic does not mean pesticide free, there will always be run off from local farms and pesticides that are spread via aerial spreaders are carried in the winds to other adjacent farms.
